It is built for the muck heap, the wash bay and the walk to the field: grippy outsole, easy on and off, and a footbed that stays comfortable through a long day standing on concrete. A tall riding boot, by contrast, is cut to the knee for leg protection and contact in the saddle. Many riders keep both — a yard boot for the daily routine and a taller boot for lessons and competition.
