From Humble Beginnings
Just Horse Riders began in 2010 from a small shipping container at Carrington Riding Centre in Manchester. Founded by Aaron Englander and his family, we started with a simple mission: to provide fellow equestrians with quality horse riding equipment at fair prices.
As keen horse riders ourselves, we understood the challenges of finding reliable, affordable equestrian supplies. Every product we stock is personally tested and carefully selected — if we wouldn't use it with our own horses, we won't sell it to you.
Today, we're proud to be one of the UK's leading online equestrian retailers, operating from Lancaster Farm in Poulton-le-Fylde. But we've never forgotten our roots — we're still the same family-run business, driven by the same passion for horses and dedication to our customers.
Meet Aaron Englander, Founder
Aaron founded Just Horse Riders in 2010 from a shipping container at Carrington Riding Centre in Manchester. A rider himself, Aaron built the business around a simple idea: stock what works, price it fairly, and treat every customer the way you'd want to be treated. Over 15 years later, that approach hasn't changed — but the business has grown from a one-person operation to one of the UK's most trusted online equestrian retailers, serving thousands of riders across the country.
When he's not running the business, you'll find Aaron at the yard with his family or volunteering at Fylde & District Pony Club events. That hands-on involvement with horses and the riding community is what keeps Just Horse Riders grounded in what riders actually need.

Englander Equestrian — Designed by Us, for You
In addition to stocking over 25 trusted equestrian brands, we design and develop our own product range under the Englander Equestrian label. Every Englander Equestrian product — from our Athena tall riding boots to the Gaia jodhpur boots and the Hera waterproof country boot — is designed by our team based on what we know riders actually need, then manufactured to our specifications.
Creating our own range means we can offer products at a price point that doesn't compromise on quality. It also means we can respond directly to customer feedback — if riders tell us a boot needs a wider calf option or a more durable sole, we can make that happen in the next production run. That's something you won't get from a business that simply resells other brands.

Part of the Riding Community, Not Just Selling to It
Running an equestrian business isn't just our livelihood — it's part of how our family lives. Our two children are active members of Fylde & District Pony Club, gaining confidence, life skills, and friendships that can't be bought at any price. Chantal sits on the Pony Club committee, helping organise lessons and events. Aaron volunteers at events throughout the year. And through Just Horse Riders, we sponsor events, donate prizes, and help fund the branch.
In 2025, we were honoured to receive a special recognition award from Fylde & District Pony Club for families who go beyond. It's something we're incredibly proud of — because anyone can write a cheque, but time is the most precious thing any of us has. Being able to give both our financial support and our family's time and energy to an organisation that does so much for young riders is what makes this meaningful.
That involvement keeps us connected to what riders actually need. When we pick products for the site, it's often because we've seen them in action at the yard or at Pony Club rallies — not just in a supplier's catalogue. Whether it's a parent looking for their child's first pair of jodhpur boots before a rally or an experienced competitor searching for the right tall boot for show season, we've been there ourselves.
