Premier Equine Full Cheek Snaffle with Copper Lozenge

Full cheek snaffles are useful for green horses or young horses as they can help with steering. Shanks on the bit create a positive action against the horse's cheeks when asked to turn. The full cheek design also prevents the bit being dragged through the horse�s mouth. This bit can be used with keepers on the bridle to help keep the cheeks vertical. The double jointed mouthpiece with copper lozenge distributes pressure evenly over the tongue and bars of the mouth whilst reducing the nutcracker action of a single jointed bit. Copper is a warm metal which encourage the horse to salivate and mouth on the bit. Fixed cheeks on this bit provide more stability through the reins and are suitable for horses that may be unsure of the bit because they create less movement. Made from stainless steel, which is the most common material used for horse bits, it is durable, easy to clean, tasteless and does not rust.
