How do you tie a horse up safely?
The standard advice is to never tie directly to a fixed ring. Tie to a loop of breakable twine, or use a purpose-made quick-release fitting, so that a horse that panics can free itself before it hurts itself or pulls the wall apart. Is a SafeTie better than baler twine?
Both work on the same principle — give way before the horse or the wall does.
