The Exciting Lineup for Longines League of Nations™ 2025
The Fédération Équestre Internationale (FEI) has once again captured the hearts of equestrian sport enthusiasts worldwide with the official announcement of the 2025 Longines League of Nations™ calendar. Following the successful debut season where Germany was crowned the first champion, the competition is set to embark on a thrilling journey across some of the globe's most iconic venues.
Kick-Off in the Middle East
Abu Dhabi, UAE will have the honor of hosting the inaugural event of the 2025 season from February 12 to 16. This prestigious region renowned for its rich cultural heritage and love for horses sets a grand stage for the adrenaline-pumping equestrian challenges that await.
Transatlantic Adventures in the USA
In March, from the 18th to 23rd, the action moves across the Atlantic to Ocala, Florida's World Equestrian Center. Known for its horse-friendly atmosphere and sprawling greenery, Ocala will witness some intense competitions as top teams vie for supremacy.
European Elegance: Netherlands and France
June will see the series returning to its European roots with the Rotterdam qualifier in the Netherlands from the 19th to 22nd. Rotterdam, with its modern architecture juxtaposed against traditional Dutch charm, provides a beautiful backdrop for equestrian events.
And then it's off to the stunning south of France! A new addition to the calendar, the Saint-Tropez-Gassin qualifier, set in the glamorous Saint-Tropez from September 17 to 21, is bound to add a fresh flavor to the series with its beautiful landscapes and luxurious atmosphere.
Climactic Finale in Spain
The concluding chapter of the League unfolds in Barcelona's Real Club de Polo from October 2 to 5. Known for hosting top-tier sporting events, this Spanish jewel will once again have the eyes of the worldwide equestrian community fixed firmly upon it.
A Revamped Team Lineup
The 2025 lineup introduces a diverse mix of revered champions and promising new entries. While the competition will see familiar faces like Ireland, France, USA, and Great Britain, it will also welcome Italy into the fold for the first time. Italy's entry followed a tight qualification round where they narrowly edged out Brazil and Canada.
What’s Changed?
Not all changes are additions—Saint-Tropez-Gassin in, St. Gallen out. Due to uncertainties around its venue, St. Gallen won't be part of the series, making way for new and exciting locations.
Success through Innovation
The League's revamped format, first seen in its inaugural season, has been widely acclaimed. Featuring heart-stopping moments where victory hinges on the final fence, this format has proven to heighten the competitive stakes and engage audiences with intense anticipation.
FEI President Ingmar De Vos has praised the relentless commitment of the athletes, coaches, national federations, and organizers. Yet, the true gratitude lies with the sponsors. Support from leading brands like Longines, Pivo, and Bates Saddles ensures this series showcases the finest in equestrian sportsmanship.
Looking Ahead: The Promise of 2025
The League of Nations™ promises an exhilarating 2025 season that not only highlights the prowess of the best equestrian teams globally but also enhances tourism and economy in the host locales. Expect fierce competitions, picturesque venues, and a healthy slice of friendly international rivalry. Brace yourselves—it's going to be a galloping ride!
The anticipation is tangible as both participating teams and the audience eagerly await the unfolding events of the 2025 series, destined to make waves in the world of equestrian sports.
