How to choose
Full-seat or knee-patch grip?
Grip is the silicone or suede patch that keeps you stable in the saddle. Full-seat grip runs across the whole seat and inner thigh — favoured for dressage and for a really secure feel. Knee-patch (knee-grip) sits just at the knee — ideal for jumping and general riding, and usually a little cheaper.
What rise should I choose?
"Rise" is how high the waist sits. High-waist styles are very popular right now — they stay put and feel secure in the saddle. Mid-rise suits most riders for everyday use. It comes down to comfort, so go with what you would happily wear all day.
How do I get the size right?
Riding legwear is stretchy and meant to fit close, so check the brand's size guide against your waist (and hip) measurement rather than guessing from your jeans size.
