How to Use

  1. Measure the rider's usual shoe size and choose that size; go up one size if between sizes or if thick yard socks will be worn.
  2. Loosen the calf adjustment before putting the boots on, then step in with the sock pulled smooth.
  3. Tuck jodhpurs or trousers into the shaft, then draw the calf adjustment in until the boot feels secure without pinching.
  4. Check the heel does not lift excessively when walking; a small amount of heel movement is normal in a welly.
  5. After use, rinse mud off with clean water and wipe the outer down.
  6. Dry naturally away from direct heat and store upright so the shaft keeps its shape.

FAQ

Are the LeMieux Ultra Stride Wellies fully waterproof?
Yes. They are fully waterproof tall wellingtons with an improved bonding seal that adds extra defence against leaks, so they cope with deep puddles and muddy paths.

What size should a young rider order?
Order the usual shoe size. If the rider is between sizes, or will wear thick winter yard socks, take the next size up. Wrong size is the most common reason wellies are returned, so measure the foot rather than guessing.

Will they fit wider or narrower calves?
The shaft is fully adjustable at the calf, so it can be widened for thicker socks and jodhpurs or drawn in for a slimmer leg.

Are they warm enough for winter on the yard?
They are lined with insulating neoprene and have a moulded cushioned insole, which keeps feet warm and supported during winter yard work. Adding a thicker sock increases warmth further, so allow for that when choosing a size.

Is the sole grippy in mud?
The outsole uses deep treads in a custom pattern inspired by the frog of the horse's hoof, with upgraded abrasion resistance for increased grip and longer tread life on wet grass, mud and yard concrete.

How should the wellies be cleaned?
Rinse off mud with clean water, wipe the outer down and leave them to dry naturally away from direct heat. Store them upright so the shaft does not crease.
