How to Use

1. Measure the panel length of your saddle and compare it with the spine measurements above to choose Medium or Large.
2. Place the pad on a clean, dry back with the shaped wither profile over the withers and the spine channel centred.
3. Check the shims in the open pocket - add, stack or trim layers to correct front, bridging or rear gaps.
4. Set the saddle on top, then lift the pad up into the saddle gullet so it clears the spine and withers.
5. Fasten the billet straps and girth, then check clearance again before mounting.
6. After riding, brush off loose hair, clean gently by hand and air dry away from direct heat.

FAQ

Which size should I choose, Medium or Large?
Medium measures 23" spine length from withers to rolls, 18.25" between the rolls and 18" across the seat. Large measures 25" spine length and 19.5" across the seat. Measure your saddle's panel length and pick the size that sits fully under the saddle without extending beyond the panels.

How many shims can I use?
The full open pocket takes up to three stacked layers. Shims can also be trimmed to create front, bridging or rear shims so you can place support exactly where it is needed.

Will this fix a saddle that does not fit?
No. A half pad refines fit and absorbs concussion, but it cannot correct a badly fitting saddle. Have your saddle checked by a qualified saddle fitter, then use shims for fine adjustment.
