What is the difference between Eco Rider and Apollo Air?
They are two separate own-brand lines that sit side by side in this collection. Eco Rider focuses on bridlework and leather goods made from eco-leather — a softer, more sustainable alternative to traditional hide — covering bridles, reins, browbands, nosebands, headpieces and leather care. Apollo Air focuses on breathable performance equipment: anatomic girths, brushing and support boots, showerproof breeches and technical riding socks, all engineered to help airflow and manage moisture. Many riders use both together — an Eco Rider bridle with an Apollo Air girth, for example.

How does Apollo Air's breathable kit work?
Apollo Air girths and boots use breathable linings and perforated or mesh-backed panels that help air move around the contact area, which can help reduce heat and moisture build-up during work. The riding socks use Thermolite yarn to help regulate temperature. Breathability supports comfort but does not replace correct fitting — for girths and boots, check the size and position with an instructor or saddle-fitter, and introduce any new boot gradually so you can watch for rubbing.
How should I choose the right size?
Eco Rider bridles and bridle parts follow standard pony, cob and full sizing, and many are modular so you can mix headpiece, browband and noseband sizes. Apollo Air girths are measured in inches along the buckle-to-buckle length, and breeches follow standard UK dress sizes. If you are between sizes, or fitting a young or unusually shaped horse, ask your saddle-fitter — a correct fit protects both comfort and safety. How do I care for eco-leather?
Eco Rider eco-leather is designed to be low-maintenance: wipe clean after use and condition occasionally to keep it supple. The Eco Rider Ecosoft Balsam and matching leather care in this collection are made to nourish eco-leather without over-softening the stitching. Store bridlework somewhere dry and out of direct heat, and check billets, keepers and stitching regularly for wear as you would with any tack.

Apollo Air Storm breeches are showerproof and water-resistant rather than fully waterproof — they help keep light rain and splashes off while staying breathable. They are ideal for changeable British weather, but for prolonged heavy rain a dedicated waterproof layer is best.
