What does HY Equestrian make?
HY Equestrian is a broad equestrian house brand, so the range is unusually wide. Rather than a single product type, it is organised into sub-ranges that each focus on one area of riding and horse care. In this collection you will find the everyday Hy line (headcollars, lead ropes, haynets, silks and stable kit), HyLAND boots and chaps, HyPERFORMANCE jodhpurs, tights and baselayers, Hy5 riding gloves, HyVIZ reflective wear, HyCOMFORT girths, HySHINE grooming tools and HyIMPACT horse boots.
Which HY Equestrian range is right for me?
The quickest way to choose is to start from what you need rather than the brand name. This table maps the main ranges to who they suit best.
| Range | What it covers | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Hy (core) | Headcollars, lead ropes, haynets, hat silks, stable accessories | Everyday yard and stable basics on a budget |
| HyLAND | Jodhpur boots, chaps and country footwear | Riders wanting affordable, durable footwear |
| HyPERFORMANCE | Jodhpurs, riding tights, baselayers, competition jackets | Schooling, lessons and everyday riding wear |
| Hy5 | Riding gloves for adults and children | Grip and comfort in all seasons |
| HyVIZ | Reflective waistcoats and waterproof jackets | Hacking on roads and in low light |
| HyCOMFORT | Cushioned and dressage girths | Horses that need extra padding behind the elbow |
How do I choose the right size?
Sizing varies by range, so always check the size guide on the individual product page before ordering. For jodhpurs and baselayers, measure your waist and inside leg and compare against the chart. For boots, measure around the widest part of the calf as well as your usual shoe size. Girths, boots and any fitted horse tack should be measured on the horse — if you are unsure about girth length or boot fit, it is worth having a saddle fitter or experienced instructor check the fit with you.

HY Equestrian FAQs
How much does HY Equestrian gear cost?
Prices in this collection currently start from £1.43 for small stable accessories such as hair nets and rise to around £105 for winter country boots, with most clothing and tack sitting between roughly £10 and £50. Because the range spans over 2,000 products, always check the individual product page for the current price and stock.
Is HY Equestrian a good brand for beginners?
Yes. HY Equestrian is popular with newer riders and busy yards because it covers most of the basics — boots, jodhpurs, gloves, hi-viz and stable kit — at approachable prices, so you can build up a kit without buying premium items straight away.
What is the difference between HyLAND, HyPERFORMANCE and Hy5?
They are all HY Equestrian sub-ranges with different jobs. HyLAND is the footwear line (jodhpur boots, chaps and country boots), HyPERFORMANCE covers riding clothing such as jodhpurs, tights and baselayers, and Hy5 is the riding-glove range for adults and children.
How do I choose the right size in HY jodhpurs or boots?
Check the size guide on each product page. For jodhpurs, measure your waist and inside leg; for boots, measure your calf width as well as your shoe size. If a boot or girth needs to fit the horse, it is best to measure on the horse and, if in doubt, have an instructor or fitter confirm the fit.
Do you offer free UK delivery on HY Equestrian?
