Which Gold Label product does which job?
Gold Label splits its stable care range by task, so the easiest way to shop is to start with the job in front of you:

What should be in a basic stable first-aid kit?
Most yards keep the same core: an antibacterial cleanser to wash the area, a spray to help keep it clean, and a powder or gel to protect it while it heals. From this range that's Triscrub Wash (from £4.67), Purple Spray (from £4.60) or Iodine Spray (from £4.53), and Veterinary Wound Powder (£6.22). Add Surgical Spirit (£5.05) and Germigel hand gel (£5.10) for your own hands and kit, and you're covered for the everyday scrapes that come with turnout and travel. These products are for minor knocks only — anything deep, near a joint or eye, or not settling within a day or two is a call to your vet, not a spray.
Purple spray or iodine spray — which one?
Both do the same basic job: an antibacterial spray for minor cuts and grazes. The practical difference is visibility. Purple Spray leaves a bright violet mark, so you can see at a glance which areas you've treated and check them each day. Iodine Spray uses povidone iodine, a long-standing antiseptic choice, and suits riders who prefer a traditional iodine approach. Many yards simply keep both — together they're under £10 in the smaller sizes.
What helps with itchy skin and rubbing?
Spring and summer bring midges, and with them the tail-rubbing and mane-scratching every owner recognises. The Itchgon Cream (£7.90) and Itchgon Powder (£6.01) are made to help soothe itchy, irritated skin and support your horse's comfort through the itchy months. For general sensitive or sore-looking patches, the Aloe Vera Skin Gel (from £5.82) is a gentle option. If skin is broken, weeping or getting worse, get a vet's opinion before layering products on it.
What about the stable itself?
Clean skin heals better in a clean environment. Gold Label Disinfectant Powder (2kg, £13.36) is a dry-application powder for stable floors and bedding areas — useful after a horse has been off-colour, between occupants, or as part of a regular deep-clean routine. Pair it with Lavender Wash (500ml, £5.59) for washing the horse and you cover both halves of stable hygiene.
