Magnetic horse boots hold magnets against the lower leg, hock or hoof, and most are worn at rest in the stable for set times. We stock leg, hock and hoof boots, wraps and chaps from Veredus, Premier Equine, Equilibrium and ARMA. They are part of a care routine, not a treatment, so talk to your vet about an injury.

How To Choose

  • Which area: pick lower leg boots or chaps, hock boots or hoof boots.
  • Wear time: follow the maker's instructions. Premier Equine's Magni-Teque range, for example, says 30 minutes to 1 hour a day for the first week, building up to 4 hours.
  • Stable use: most are for wearing at rest, not for riding or turnout, so check the product page.

Magnetic Boot FAQs

How long can a horse wear magnetic boots?

It varies by product, so follow the instructions for that boot. Many makers suggest starting with short sessions and building up, and some boots are designed around a set time.

Can a horse be turned out or ridden in magnetic boots?

Most are designed for wear at rest in the stable. Check the product page, and don't use them for work or turnout unless the maker says you can.

Do magnetic boots treat injuries?

No. They are a care product, not a treatment. If your horse has heat, swelling, lameness or an injury, ask your vet first and ask whether magnetic boots are suitable.
