Frequently Asked Questions
What sizes does the NAF General Purpose Supplement come in?
It is available in three sizes: 1.5kg, 2kg Refill, and 3kg.
Which horses and ponies is this supplement designed for?
It is formulated for horses and ponies in light-to-moderate work, particularly those receiving less than the manufacturer's recommended rates of hard feed and those on a high fibre, low concentrate diet.
Why might a horse on a forage-based diet need this supplement?
According to NAF, fibre alone is unlikely to provide all the micro-nutrients required for health and vitality. Vitamins and minerals are particularly likely to be low in preserved forage such as hay or haylage, and where grazing is less than optimum - for example, closely grazed paddocks, fast growing grass, or areas of high rainfall.
What does the 2kg Refill option offer?
The 2kg Refill is a refill-format pack of the same General Purpose Supplement, giving you a larger quantity in a refill presentation alongside the standard 1.5kg and 3kg options.
