What sizes and colours are available?
Headpieces, cheekpieces, throatlashes and the cavesson, flash and grackle nosebands run Pony, Cob, Full and X-Full. Most of the browbands (Liscio, Bellissima, Elaborare, Bergamo and Trovare Crystal) run Cob, Full and X-Full, while the Primo Hunter Browband also comes in Pony. The Sheepskin Glorioso Grackle Nose Protector is one size in natural. Everything else comes in black or brown, so you can match a strap to the bridle you already own.
How do I check the size before ordering?
Measure the equivalent strap on your current bridle end to end and compare it against the size you normally ride in. Browbands are the easiest to get wrong: too short and it pulls the headpiece into the base of the ears, too long and it slides down the forehead. If you are between sizes or unsure, get in touch and our team will help.
Cavesson, flash or grackle: what is the difference?
A cavesson such as the Verdura Anatomic sits as a single band above the bit and is the plainest, most widely accepted option. A flash noseband like the Rizzo Anatomic adds a second strap below the bit for riders who want that option available. A grackle, such as the Glorioso Mexican, crosses over the front of the face with the pressure points sitting higher and lower than a cavesson. All three in this range are anatomically shaped so they curve away from the facial nerves rather than sitting flat across them. Whichever you pick, fit it loosely enough that your horse can chew and yawn.
Plain browband or diamante?

Can I rebuild a whole bridle from these parts?
Yes. A headpiece, a pair of cheekpieces, a noseband, a browband and a throatlash together make a complete snaffle bridle, and buying them separately means you can mix sizes, for example a Cob noseband with a Full headpiece for a horse with a fine muzzle and a broad poll. It is also the sensible route when one strap has torn but the rest of the bridle is sound: replace the single part and keep riding.

How should I look after the leather?
Wipe sweat and mud off after every ride, condition the leather regularly rather than soaking it, and let it dry naturally away from direct heat. Each time you clean it, check the stitching, the billet ends and the holes nearest the buckles, because those are where a strap gives way first.
