The LeMieux Arika Ripstop 200g Turnout Rug is a medium-weight waterproof turnout rug with a 600 Denier ripstop outer rated to 10,000mm waterproof and 3000mvp breathability. It is best for horses and ponies turned out through the transitional seasons of autumn and spring, when wet weather calls for cover but a heavyweight rug would be too warm.

How to Use

1. Measure your horse from the centre of the chest, along the side of the body, to the point of the buttock, and select the nearest rug size.
2. Fold the rug in half and place it over the withers, then unfold it back along the body so the hair lies flat.
3. Fasten the angled T-bar front closure first, allowing a hand's width of room at the chest.
4. Cross the surcingles under the belly and adjust so a hand's width fits between strap and stomach.
5. Fasten the elasticated leg straps, linking one through the other so they sit clear of the hocks.
6. Attach the detachable neck cover or an Arika liner if extra warmth or coverage is needed.
7. Check the fit at the shoulder and withers after the first hour of turnout and adjust as required.
