LeMieux Artisan Massage Brush — Rubber Teeth, Solid Wooden Handle

The LeMieux Artisan Massage Brush is a horse grooming brush with rubber teeth set into a solid wood-crafted handle, used to massage the coat and loosen dirt and dust from deep within the hair. It is best for riders who want a substantial, traditional-feeling brush for daily grooming, pre-ride prep and post-work massage on horses and ponies.

The rubber teeth lift embedded dirt and loose hair to the surface, where a body brush or flick brush can sweep it away. Grooves are positioned along the wooden handle so the brush stays secure in the hand throughout a full session, and gold foil embossed branding finishes the timber neatly.

FAQ

What is the LeMieux Artisan Massage Brush used for?
It is used to massage the coat and loosen dirt and dust from deep within the hair. The rubber teeth bring debris to the surface so it can then be brushed away with a body brush.

Is it suitable for ponies as well as horses?
Yes. It can be used on horses and ponies of most types, including natives, cobs and warmbloods. Use lighter pressure on thin-skinned or sensitive horses.

Can it be used on muddy winter coats?
Yes. The rubber teeth are well suited to lifting dried mud, dust and loose winter hair out of a thick coat before you finish with a body brush.

How do I clean the brush?
Knock out loose hair after use and rinse the rubber teeth in clean water. Wipe the wooden handle with a damp cloth rather than soaking it, then leave it to dry naturally away from direct heat.

Can I use it on the face and legs?
It is designed for the fleshy areas of the body. Over bony areas such as the legs, spine and head, use very light pressure or choose a softer brush instead.

Is the handle really wood?
Yes, the brush has a solid wood-crafted handle with specially placed grooves for grip, finished with gold foil embossed branding.
