How to Use
- Tie the horse up safely and let heavy mud dry before you start.
- Hold the blade by the grip and draw it along the coat in the direction the hair lies.
- Work over the fleshy areas - neck, shoulders, barrel and hindquarters - using light, even pressure.
- Avoid bony and sensitive areas such as the face, spine, hips and lower legs.
- Clear the lifted hair and mud away, then finish with a body brush for a smooth coat.
- Run the blade through your brushes to pull out packed hair, then wipe it clean and dry it before storing.

What does a shedding blade do?
It lifts dead, loose hair and dried mud out of the coat faster than a brush alone, which makes it particularly useful during moulting season and through a muddy winter.
Is it suitable for ponies as well as horses?
Yes. It is one size and can be used on ponies, cobs, horses and warmbloods. Use lighter pressure on finer-coated or thin-skinned types.

Can I use it on a clipped horse?

How do I look after it?
Tap or wipe off trapped hair after each use, rinse if it has been used on wet mud, and let it dry fully before putting it back in the grooming box.
