What is the difference between a dressage square and a general purpose pad?
A dressage square is cut long and straight down the flap to follow the deeper, straighter flap of a dressage saddle. A general purpose or jump pad is shorter and cut forward at the front to sit under a more angled flap. Put a GP pad under a dressage saddle and the flap will usually overhang the edge, which looks untidy and can rub.
