Premier Equine Armorx Fetlock Boots

The Premier Equine Armorx Fetlock Boots are protective hind leg boots for horses, built with a double-density outer shell and shock-absorbing inner layers to guard the fetlock area against knocks, scrapes and strike impact. They are best for riders who school, do flatwork or jump regularly and want breathable, hard-wearing protection that moves with the horse.

Air-Tech ventilated neoprene and the Comfort Dry Lining (CDL) work together to help keep the legs cool and dry, while Flex-Tech zones follow the natural biomechanics of the leg so the boot flexes rather than restricts. Elastic straps and quick-release clips make them fast to fit and remove. Browse more horse boots to complete the set.

How to Use

  1. Make sure the horse's legs are clean and dry, with no mud, sand or grit that could rub.
  2. Position the boot so the protective shell sits over the outside of the fetlock joint.
  3. Wrap the elastic straps around the leg and fasten the quick-release clips from the top down.
  4. Check the fit: snug enough that the boot cannot rotate or slide down, but with room to slip a finger under the strap.
  5. Remove the boots after work, brush off dirt and allow them to air dry away from direct heat.

FAQ

Are these boots for the front or hind legs?
The Armorx Fetlock Boots are designed for the hind legs, protecting the fetlock area from knocks and strikes.

What size fetlock boot does my horse need?
Fetlock boots are usually sized pony, cob and full. Measure around the fetlock and compare against the size guide before ordering, as a boot that is too large can slip during work and one that is too small can rub.

Can they be used for jumping as well as flatwork?
Yes. The shock-absorbing inner layers and double-density shell are intended for use during training, flatwork and jumping.

Will my horse's legs get hot in them?
The shell uses Air-Tech ventilated neoprene with a Comfort Dry Lining (CDL), which is designed to help keep the legs cooler and drier during intense sessions.

How do I clean them?
Remove mud and grit after each use, wipe the shell clean and leave the boots to air dry naturally, away from radiators and direct sunlight.

How secure are the fastenings?
Each boot uses elastic straps with quick-release clips, so they can be fitted firmly and removed quickly at the end of a session.
