Description
A multi-purpose hoof aid. The thick EVA sole pad relieves pain for the horse and extends the life of the multi-purpose Tubbease. The sock 'breathes' to stop the damaged hoof going soft during treatment. Various remedies can be used under the sock for ailments such as abscess, thrush, seedy toe, thin sole, injuries, cracks and general deterioration. Note Tubbease should always be secured with the Velcro strap supplied. A bandage is not suitable or adequate. Dimension is maximum width of hoof that will fit in the Tubbease cup. Small (pink) 110mm Medium (red) 140mm Large (blue) 155mm Extra Large (orange) 165mm (maximum internal diameter of base). For enhanced protection a Tubbease Sole Insert is available separately.Tubbease was developed in New Zealand by farrier Erin Hampson-Tindale. Erin was trying to solve the problem of poulticing hooves without "stewing" them, as with most regular "sealed" boots.
