How do I choose the right bit size?
Bit size is measured across the mouthpiece in inches (commonly 4.5", 5", 5.5" and 6"). A bit that’s too wide can slide and pinch, while one that’s too narrow can rub. If you’re unsure, measure your horse’s current bit or ask a qualified bit-fitter or instructor before you buy — correct fit matters more than any single design.
How do I choose a stirrup size?
As a rough guide, allow roughly 1.25cm (about half an inch) of clearance either side of the widest part of your boot — so the iron sits about 2.5cm (1in) wider than your boot overall.
