Which Wahl clipper or trimmer should I choose?

If your horse is nervous of noise or vibration, start with a smaller cordless unit on a low-stakes area and build up over several short sessions before attempting a full clip.
What blades do I need?
Blades are consumables. Two spare sets on rotation means you can keep clipping while one set is away being sharpened, and a sharp blade is kinder to the horse than a blunt one dragging through coat.

How do I look after clipper blades?
Blades run hot and blunt fast if they are neglected. Brush hair out of the blade after every session, oil the cutting edge, and let the blade cool before going back to work.
