How to Use

  1. Measure your foot size, your calf at its widest point and your leg height from the floor to the back of the knee, wearing your usual riding socks and breeches.
  2. Loosen the front laces fully and open the rear zip before putting the boot on.
  3. Slide your foot in, drawing the boot up the leg until the heel seats correctly.
  4. Close the rear zip, then tighten the front laces from the bottom upwards for an even fit through the instep and lower leg.
  5. Wear the boots for short sessions at first so the leather softens and drops naturally at the ankle.
  6. Wipe clean after riding, dry away from direct heat and condition the leather regularly.

FAQ

Do these boots run true to size?
Order your usual foot size and then check calf width and leg height, as tall boots depend on all three measurements. If you are between sizes, the lace front and rear elastic panel provide adjustment through the leg.

Will they fit a wider calf?
The rear zip has an elastic panel and the full-front lacing can be opened out, which helps accommodate a fuller calf. Measure your calf at its widest point over your breeches before ordering.

Why do the boots feel tall at first?
Leather tall boots are made slightly high so they drop at the ankle as they are worn in. A small amount of creasing above the ankle after a few rides is normal and helps the boot mould to your leg.

Are these boots suitable for competition?
Yes. The leather finish and crystal-set patent top panel suit the show ring, and the same boot is comfortable enough for everyday schooling and training.

How should I care for the leather?
Wipe off mud and sweat after riding, allow the boots to dry naturally away from radiators or direct heat, and condition the leather regularly. Boot trees or shapers help them keep their shape in storage.
