Horseware Ice-Vibe Boots, Wraps & Cold Packs
Horseware Ice-Vibe combines cold packs with a gentle vibration panel in one wrap, so you can support your horse's legs and joints before and after work. This collection covers the three wrap styles — leg, hock and knee — plus the cold packs and the cable and transformer that keep them running. Wraps start at £207.95 for the Horseware Ice-Vibe Knee Wrap, and replacement cold packs start at £25.95 a pair.

Which Ice-Vibe wrap do I need?
The wraps are area-specific rather than one-size-fits-all — each one is shaped for the part of the leg it sits on. Use the table below to match the area to the product, then check the pack you would want as a spare.
| Area | Product | Sold as | Price | Matching spare packs |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lower leg / tendon area | Horseware Ice-Vibe Leg Wraps | Pair — Full, X-Full | £233.95 | Cold Packs – Leg (Pk of 6 Pairs) £124.53 |
| Hock | Horseware Ice-Vibe Hock Wrap | Each | £220.95 | Cold Packs – Hock Pair £25.95 · Pk of 6 Pairs £124.53 |
| Knee | Horseware Ice-Vibe Knee Wrap | Each | £207.95 | Cold Packs – Knee Pair £25.95 · Pk of 6 Pairs £124.53 |

What do the cold packs actually do?
The cold packs are the cooling half of the system. You chill them in the freezer, slot them into the pockets on the wrap, and the wrap holds them against the leg while the vibration panel runs. Because a frozen pack only stays cold for one session, most yards keep a second set on rotation — that is why the hock and knee packs are sold both as a single pair (£25.95) and as a pack of 6 pairs (£124.53), and the leg packs as a pack of 6 pairs (£124.53).
Can I use them before riding as well as after?
Yes. Many riders run the vibration on its own before work to help warm the limb up, then add the chilled packs afterwards to help the leg cool down. Ice-Vibe is a management and recovery aid used around work to help keep legs comfortable, and it is not a treatment for injury. If your horse is lame, heat is present, or you are working through a rehab plan, speak to your vet first and follow their guidance on timing and duration.
How do I get the fit right?
The leg wraps come in Full and X-Full, so measure your horse's cannon before ordering rather than going by his rug size. The hock and knee wraps are sold individually, which means you can buy one if you are only working on one side — but most people order two so they can treat both limbs in the same session. The wrap should sit snug enough that the packs stay in contact with the leg without pulling in at the edges.
Do I need anything else to run them?
Each wrap runs from its rechargeable vibration panel, and the Horseware Ice-Vibe Cable & Transformer (£16.95) is the charging lead for it. It is worth having a spare in the lorry if you use the wraps away from home, since a flat panel with no lead means no vibration that day.
Ice-Vibe wraps vs plain ice boots
A standard ice boot does one job: it holds cold against the leg. Ice-Vibe adds the vibration panel, so you get cooling and gentle movement in the same wrap, and you can run either part on its own. That flexibility is the main reason people step up to Ice-Vibe — it covers the pre-work warm-up and the post-work cool-down with one piece of kit rather than two.
Frequently asked questions
How long should I leave Ice-Vibe wraps on my horse?
Follow the timings in the Horseware instructions that come with the wrap, and stop the session if your horse seems unsettled. Cold work is normally kept short rather than left on for long stretches. If the wraps are part of a rehab or veterinary plan, use the duration your vet has given you — that always takes priority.
Are Ice-Vibe wraps sold in pairs or singly?
It depends on the wrap. The Horseware Ice-Vibe Leg Wraps (£233.95) come as a pair in Full or X-Full. The Hock Wrap (£220.95) and the Knee Wrap (£207.95) are each sold individually, so order two if you want to work on both limbs at once.
Can Ice-Vibe boots fix a tendon injury?
No. Ice-Vibe is a support and recovery aid, not a cure or a treatment. It can form part of a routine that helps keep legs comfortable around work, but any suspected injury, heat, swelling or lameness needs a vet's diagnosis first. Use the wraps alongside veterinary advice rather than instead of it.
How many spare cold packs should I buy?
One spare pair per wrap is the usual starting point, so there is always a frozen set ready while the used set refreezes. A single pair is £25.95 for the hock or knee packs. Leg packs are stocked as the pack of 6 pairs at £124.53, which is also what busy yards running several horses tend to take.
Do the cold packs from one wrap fit another?
No — the packs are shaped for their wrap, which is why they are listed separately as leg, hock and knee. Match the pack to the wrap you own. If you are not sure which version you have, get in touch and our team will help you identify it before you order.
What if the charging lead stops working?
The Horseware Ice-Vibe Cable & Transformer is available on its own at £16.95, so a damaged or lost lead does not mean replacing the whole wrap. Check the lead is the problem before ordering — a panel that will not hold charge is a different issue, and our team can talk it through with you.
