The 3M 501 Filter Retainer is an accessory that holds 3M particulate filters at the front of a respirator so they stay correctly seated in use. It is made for 3M Particulate Filters in the 5000 Series and 3M Cartridges in the 6000 Series, and is best for anyone doing dusty yard, stable or workshop jobs who already runs a 3M respirator system.
Fitted with 3M 5000 Series filters, the retainer lets you add particulate protection on top of gas and vapour filters - handy when one task involves both dust and fumes.

How to Use
- Check that your respirator uses 3M 6000 Series cartridges or 3M 5000 Series particulate filters.
- Fit the cartridge or filter to the respirator following the instructions supplied with it.
- Place the 3M 5000 Series filter (5911, 5925 or 5935) over the front of the cartridge.
- Clip the 501 Retainer over the filter until it is held firmly and evenly in place.
- Check the assembly is secure before each use, and remove the retainer to replace the filter when required.
