Description
Freejump Soft'Up Classic+ Single Branch Stirrups

The Freejump Soft'Up Classic+ is a single-branch stirrup with spring steel construction, a flexible Elastollan outer branch and a grip footbed with replaceable steel studs. It is designed for riders who want a straight leg position and who wear footwear up to EU size 44, making it best for schooling, jumping and hacking riders looking to reduce joint pressure over long hours in the saddle.

Designed by the Italian design house Pininfarina and developed in collaboration with Penelope Leprevost, the single-branch geometry works as a suspension system, reducing the effort exerted on each stirrup by one third and relieving pressure on the rider's joints and the horse's back.

How to Use

  1. Thread your stirrup leathers through the straight eye, keeping both stirrups an equal length.
  2. Check the branch orientation so the single branch sits to the inside and the grip footbed faces the rider.
  3. Mount and place the ball of your foot across the studded grip area, allowing a small amount of room either side of the boot.
  4. Ride a few minutes of walk and rising trot to settle your leg and confirm the length feels even.
  5. After riding, brush off mud and bedding, wipe the footbed and branches, and allow them to dry naturally.
  6. Inspect the steel studs, branches, eye and leathers regularly, and replace worn studs before your next ride.

FAQ

Who are the Soft'Up Classic+ stirrups best for?
They suit riders seeking a straight leg position and those wearing footwear up to EU size 44. The straight eye encourages inward toe orientation, which adapts to the female pelvis anatomy.

How does the single-branch design help?
The spring steel single branch acts as a suspension system, reducing the effort exerted on each stirrup by one third. That lowers pressure on the rider's joints and helps relieve the horse's back.

What happens in a fall?
The outer branch is made of Elastollan, a flexible material that deforms and allows the branch to open to facilitate foot release. Freejump stirrups are not PPE and cannot guarantee the rider's complete safety.

Are the studs replaceable?
Yes. The super grip footbed uses removable and replaceable steel studs, so you can swap them once the grip wears down rather than replacing the stirrup.

Which boot size do they fit?
They are designed for riders wearing up to EU size 44. Check your boot size before ordering, as the ball of the foot should sit across the grip area with a little room either side.

How do I care for them?
Wipe the branches and footbed clean after use, dry naturally, and inspect the studs, eye and stirrup leathers regularly for wear.
