Freejump Soft'Up Lite Stirrups

The Freejump Soft'Up Lite is a shock-absorbing stirrup built around a single-branch spring steel suspension and a flexible Elastollan outer branch. It is best for riders who want to reduce joint fatigue on the flat, over fences or out hacking, and who take a riding boot up to EU size 39.

The suspension system reduces effort on each stirrup by about a third, easing pressure on the rider's ankles, knees and hips while helping to relieve the horse's back. A 45 degree eye alignment shifts the centre of gravity to promote heel drop and a natural leg position.

Key Features

  • Single-branch spring steel suspension — acts as a suspension system, reducing effort on each stirrup by roughly a third.
  • Freejump Shock Absorption technology — integrated via the single-branch design to maximise shock absorption and comfort.
  • Elastollan outer branch — flexible outer component that deforms and opens to facilitate foot release in the event of a fall.
  • 45 degree eye alignment — positions the eye relative to the floor to promote heel drop, natural leg movement and easier mounting.
  • Elevated studs — superior grip and reliable traction for secure footing in varied conditions.
  • Fibreglass floor — reinforced for enhanced longevity and durability.
  • Interchangeable mini-branch pin — swap in different colours, patterns or flags to personalise your kit.

How to Use

  1. Check your riding boot size first — the Soft'Up Lite suits wearers up to EU size 39.
  2. Thread each stirrup onto your stirrup leathers through the eye at the top of the branch.
  3. Fit each stirrup so the flexible Elastollan outer branch sits to the outside of your leg.
  4. Adjust your leathers to your usual length, then check the tread sits level under the ball of the foot.
  5. Ride with the foot resting on the studded floor and the heel dropped, allowing the suspension to flex.
  6. Wipe clean after use, store dry and inspect the branches, floor and leathers regularly for wear.

FAQ

What size rider are the Freejump Soft'Up Lite stirrups suitable for?
They are suitable for wearers up to EU size 39. If your riding boot is larger than EU 39, choose a wider model so your foot is not tight in the stirrup.

How does the suspension work?
The single-branch spring steel branch acts as a suspension system, reducing effort on each stirrup by about a third. This eases pressure on the rider's joints and helps relieve the horse's back.

Do these stirrups help with foot release in a fall?
The Elastollan outer branch is designed to deform and open to facilitate foot release in the event of a fall. Freejump stirrups are not PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and cannot guarantee the rider's complete safety.

Can I personalise them?
Yes. The mini-branch pin is interchangeable, so you can fit different colours, patterns or flags to match your kit.

Why is the eye set at 45 degrees?
The 45 degree eye alignment positions the eye relative to the stirrup floor to shift the centre of gravity, promoting heel drop, natural leg movement and easier mounting.

How do I care for them?
Wipe clean after use and store dry. Check the branches, floor and stirrup leathers regularly, and replace any stirrup that is damaged or has been involved in an impact.
