Description
Horse Straights Direct Skin & Shine Infusion (Teabags)

Horse Straights Direct Skin & Shine Infusion is a natural herbal blend for horses and ponies, fed as a cooled infusion, that supports healthy skin and helps maintain a glossy, well-conditioned coat. It is best for owners who want a simple, recognisable herbal feed during coat changes, moulting, or any time skin condition needs extra support.

Each pack contains a traditional blend of cleavers, nettle, dandelion leaf, burdock root and marigold, plus three reusable teabags. The herbs are infused in boiling water, left to cool, then fed whole into the feed to moisten it, which also helps with palatability. The blend also contributes to the body's natural cleansing processes, which in turn supports skin health.

FAQ

How much do I feed?

The feed rate is 30g per day based on a 500kg horse, giving 30 portions per pack. Scale the amount down proportionally for ponies and smaller natives.

Do I have to use boiling water?

No. Boiling water makes a quicker infusion, but if you do not have a kettle you can simply soak the herbs overnight to help your horse absorb the nutrients.

Will a fussy horse eat it?

The whole infusion is fed damp, which usually helps it mix through chaff, a balancer or a soaked feed rather than sitting on the surface. Start with a smaller amount and build up over a week if your horse is suspicious of new smells.

When is the best time to feed it?

It is most often used during spring and autumn coat changes, or at any time of year when a horse's skin and coat condition would benefit from extra support.

Can I feed it if I compete?

Herbal ingredients are not always permitted under affiliated competition rules, so check the current prohibited-substances list for your discipline before feeding if you compete.

Why does the blend look different to my last pack?

The product contains natural ingredients, so colour and consistency may vary between batches. This is normal and does not affect the blend.
