KM Elite Air Shock Tendon Boots for Horses
Description
KM Elite Air Shock Tendon Boots – Air-Cushioned Protection for Show Jumping
The KM Elite Air Shock Tendon Boots are FEI approved fetlock boots that use an air-filled cushioning system inside a lightweight TPU shell to absorb impact and protect the fetlock joints and tendons. They are best for show jumpers and serious amateur riders who want competition-standard leg protection for jumping, schooling and fast work without adding bulk.
Air vents and a perforated elastic lining help heat escape during longer sessions, while a strong Velcro fastening keeps the boots snug and stable. Supplied as a pair in size Full. Browse more horse boots to complete your set.

How to Use
- Brush the legs clean and dry before fitting, as grit trapped under a boot can cause rubbing.
- Hold the boot so the moulded shell sits over the tendon at the back of the leg.
- Fasten the Velcro straps from the top down, working them firm but not tight – you should be able to slide a finger inside the top.
- Check the boot sits above the fetlock joint without pressing on it, then walk the horse a few strides and re-check.
- Remove the boots as soon as work is finished to let the legs cool.
- Machine wash at 30°C when dirty and air dry naturally away from direct heat.
FAQ
Are KM Elite Air Shock Tendon Boots FEI approved?
Yes. These boots meet FEI standards for show jumping, so they can be used in affiliated competition as well as at home.
What size are these boots and who do they fit?
They are supplied in size Full, which suits most horses from around 15.2hh upwards. If your horse is a pony, small cob or a finer-limbed type, measure the leg and compare with boots you already own, as a boot that gapes or slips will not protect properly.
Are they tendon boots or fetlock boots?
The two terms are often used interchangeably. These boots protect the fetlock joint and tendon area on the leg, guarding against strike injuries over fences and in fast work.
Will they make my horse's legs hot?
The inner shell is lined with a perforated elastic material and fitted with air vents to encourage heat dissipation and airflow, which helps limit heat build-up. Remove the boots after work so the legs can cool naturally.
How do I clean them?
Machine wash at 30°C and air dry naturally. Do not tumble dry, as heat can damage the shell and fastenings.
Can I use them for daily schooling as well as competition?
Yes. The robust construction is designed for regular training as well as competition days, making them a practical everyday jumping boot.
