Description

KM Elite Deluxe Two-Colour Haynet - Handcrafted Slow Feeding for Horses

The KM Elite Deluxe Two-Colour Haynet is a handcrafted slow-feed haynet with 2" holes, measuring 40" in length and holding approximately 6.5kg of hay. It is best for horse owners who want to cut hay waste and slow down a fast eater in the stable, horsebox, trailer, yard or field.

Because the small holes release forage gradually, horses chew more and gulp less, which encourages saliva production and a steadier feeding pattern. Built from PP yarn with high chrome iron rings, it is designed to be used day after day rather than replaced each season.

  4. Check the net cannot drop low enough for a hoof or shoe to become caught as it empties.
  5. Empty out any remaining dust and seeds, then allow the net to dry fully before refilling.

FAQ

What size is this haynet and how much hay does it hold?
It is the Large 40" net with 2" holes. It weighs 575g empty and holds approximately 6.5kg of hay, which suits most single-horse feeds.

Is there a bigger version available?
Yes. The same range includes the Jumbo Haynet at 48" with 2" holes, which is better suited to larger feeds or more than one horse sharing a net.

How does a slow feed haynet help my horse?
The 2" holes release hay gradually, so the horse takes smaller mouthfuls and chews for longer. This increases saliva production and reduces gulping, supporting a more natural feeding pattern.

Where can I use this haynet?
It is suitable for stables, horseboxes, trailers, yards and the field, so it works for both daily feeding at home and travelling to shows.

What is the haynet made from?
It is constructed from PP yarn with iron rings finished in high chrome for enhanced durability and protection against wear.

Will it suit a pony as well as a horse?
Yes. The net is filled to suit the individual, so smaller quantities can be fed to ponies and cobs. Always hang it high enough that it cannot be pawed at as it empties.
