This bit is not to be used for riding the horse. The Korsteel Chifney is designed to help the handler have more control when leading difficult horses or those who are known to rear. The V shaped mouth piece puts pressure on the horse's tongue should the horse try to rear. The Korsteel Chifney is a very effective tool but must be used with care as the Korsteel Chifney is a severe bit.
