The Meolinq LightPlus is a 32 gram wearable safety light that clips onto jackets, reins, riding hats or your horse's gear so both horse and rider can be seen in the dark. How to Use

1. Charge the light fully before first use.
2. For standard fabrics, check the tiny steel threads are facing inside, press the light onto the chosen spot on the jacket, rug or reins, then twist the lever all the way so the threads sew it into place.
3. For sensitive fabrics such as waterproofs and down jackets, place the magcover beneath the fabric and sit the light on top of it.
4. For riding hats and other smooth surfaces, use the Meolinq fabric sticker (sold separately) as the textile attachment cannot grip these materials.
5. Choose your mode and dim it to suit the conditions – lower output for lit roads, higher for unlit lanes and tracks.
6. After use, wipe the light clean and recharge. Rinse a dirty fabric sticker with water and a little soap to re-activate the adhesive.

FAQ

Can I attach the Meolinq LightPlus to my riding hat?
Yes, using the Meolinq fabric sticker, which is designed for helmets and smooth surfaces where the textile attachment cannot grip. The sticker is sold separately in a 2-pack and is not included with LightPlus. Always have a riding hat fitted by a trained fitter, and replace it after any impact.

How long does the battery last?
Between 3 and 30 hours per charge, depending on which of the six modes you use and how far you dim it. Lower, dimmed settings give the longest run time.

Will the textile attachment damage my jacket?
The textile mount uses tiny steel threads that form a temporary seam. They are strong enough to hold the light securely but fine enough not to leave marks. For waterproof shells and down jackets, use the magcover instead so nothing passes through the fabric.

Is the LightPlus waterproof?
It is IPX4 weatherproof, so it copes with rain and splashing on the yard. It is not designed for submersion.

Can I use it on the horse as well as on myself?
Yes. LightPlus attaches to reins, rugs, headcollars and other horse gear as well as to rider clothing, and at 32 grams it is light enough not to bother the horse. Introduce any new light to your horse in a safe, enclosed area first.

Does it replace hi-vis clothing?
No. A wearable light improves your visibility but should be used alongside hi-vis clothing and sensible road craft rather than instead of them.
