  3. Load the sponge with a small amount of balsam - a little goes a long way.
  4. Spread a thin, even layer over the leather, working into seams and stress points.
  5. Wipe away any excess with a cloth and allow the balsam to absorb. No buffing is needed.
  6. Repeat as required, depending on how often the item is used and how wet or muddy it gets.

FAQ

What leather can I use Renapur Leather Balsam on?
It is designed for smooth and finished leather such as saddles, bridles, riding boots, half chaps, bags, belts, jackets and furniture. It is not suitable for suede, nubuck or fully aniline leather.

Will it darken my leather?
It may darken some leathers. Always test on a small hidden area first, especially on older, pale or delicate items, before treating the whole piece.

Do I need to buff it afterwards?
No. Apply sparingly, wipe away any excess and allow it to absorb. The balsam leaves no sticky or greasy residue and will not transfer onto clothing or skin.

Can I apply it to damp tack?
Yes. Renapur can be used on damp leather and will dissolve light mud as you apply it, which makes it useful for cleaning tack after a wet or muddy ride.

What is included in the boxed set?
The box contains the leather balsam, an application sponge and an information leaflet, which makes it easy to gift or to keep tidy in the tack box.

How often should I use it?
Use it whenever the leather starts to feel dry or dull. Tack in daily work or regularly exposed to rain and mud will benefit from more frequent application than occasional-use items.
